A thrilling memory game – possible at all? Let’s have a glance at an actual game round: Grandpa was absolutely sure: the maple leaf is to be found right here. The samara is … no! That was the fir cone. Damn it. It’s Mom’s turn now and she has just overtaken Grandpa. She takes his two mushrooms from him and puts them into her basket. Now she only needs to get hold of Jonas’ mushroom and she will win the game! Jonas’ mushroom basket is in front of the fir. Though he is only 6 years old, he can memorize everything. The fir cone…sure…it was here! Correct. Where is the fir twig? Was it this tile or was it the next one? Damn, I missed it.

How does the game work? The tree, you are moving to, determines, which fruit and leaf have to be uncovered. That’s no simple task, as there are seven different trees in the game. The veneered real woods have an amazingly genuine look: The oak tiles are dark and contrast with the warm looking, white maple. The pine tiles look solid whereas the alder features a light reddish tone with a fine grain. The beech looks familiar…

Now, Jonas starts his passionate catch-up. He has well remembered the positions of the different woods: here is the maple leaf! There are the spruce twigs! Sure thing, the ash has to be here because Jonas knows the position of the other woods and the ash is not among them…One uncovered pair of tiles follows after another. The next tree on his way requires him to find the leaf and the fruit. That’s his only chance to get ahead. Soon he is right behind Mom’s basket with her three mushrooms. If he can find the leaf and the fruit of the fir now, he will overtake her and get the three mushrooms…the fir cone is here? Yes! The twigs are here? Yes! He has won the game. Jonas is the winner! Mom had the win within her reach but Jonas has turned the tide. While Mom is a little bit annoyed, Jonas can rejoice…
…Though there are some variations, the next game turns out to be similar. Till the very end, it is not clear who will be the winner and who catches the mushrooms. A thrilling experience

for all players!
